Asan Medical Center has been designated as the best Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) education & training institute by the Korean Association of CardioPulmonary Resuscitation (KACPR). At the Annual Meeting of KACPR 2010, held at the Clinical Research Institute of Seoul National University Hospital, AMC received the nations first prize as the Best ACLS Education & Training Institute. ACLS, or Advanced Cardiac Life Support, is a set of medical interventions performed by medical practitioners who completed professional courses such as chest compression, BLS, use of medical equipment and drug administration for the treatment of critical medical emergencies. We were first designated as the Best BLS Education & Training Institute by the KACPR in 2006. Now, we are the only hospital designated as the best ACLS and BLS Education & Training Institute in Korea. Under AMCs CPR education & training program, a skilled and experienced professional CPR instructor gives lessons 10-15 times per month. [AMC International News, January 2010]
