The Medical Education Center of the Asan Academy joined hands with the Korean Foundation for International Healthcare and launched the emergency rescue training program to foster staffs to be dispatched to overseas disaster-stricken areas. The program commenced with the greetings by President Han Gwang Su of KFIH and went on to introduce pertinent international standards and actual cases. The program was put into operation to better equip the Korean Overseas Emergency Rescue Team with rescue skills and knowledge conforming to internationally accepted standards. A total of 5 classes will be held, consisting of practical training and case studies introduced by our hospitals Emergency Medicine physicians and emergency rescue training specialists. Our hospital also entered into an agreement with KFIH to assist them in providing North Korea and other underdeveloped countries with emergency rescue and healthcare services.
