Our hospital visited the House of Shalom, a shelter for foreign laborers located in Namyangju-si, Gyeonggi-do, and organized a get-together as part of its community outreach program, demonstrating its strong commitment to extend love and compassion to underserved communities. A series of programs including soccer and basketball games, tug-of-war, celebratory performances and talent contest took place to entertain and comfort foreign laborers weighed down by homesickness, overwork, unstable financial and social conditions. This year, marking the 5th anniversary of the event, 200 Maseok Furniture Manufacturing Complex laborers from 10 countries including Nepal, Thailand, Vietnam, Sri Lanka and Indonesia were invited and had a meaningful time with AMCs volunteer workers. Our hospital has been providing free medical examinations to laborers at The House of Shalom since 2002. Our hospital is at the forefront of spreading out love and hope to the underprivileged by offering free medical examination and supporting medical costs.
