Our hospital and the University of Ulsan College of Medicine jointly held the 6th Asan-Partners Harvard Medical International Symposium, bringing together physicians from Harvard Medical School and prominent scholars from in and out of Korea. The symposium, organized under the theme of Present and Future of Neuroscience: from Molecules to Human Disease, was attended by Dr. Tanzi, the Alzheimers disease specialist, and other brain experts including Dr. Denis Choi. It consisted of 4 sessions that dealt with 17 subjects for 2 days, and participants engaged in in-depth discussions on neurodegeneration, neuro-regeneration, apoplexy and psychiatry. It was the chance for prominent physicians and scholars across the globe to get together, share knowledge on the latest developments of cancer research and discuss the present and future of neuroscience. AMC was selected in 1996 as the worlds first partner institute of Harvard Medical School in the non-US region and has stayed devoted to expanding technological and academic exchanges through the biennial international symposium.
