Chonnam National University Hospital (CNUH) was established in 1910 and three
goals of the hospital are education, research and patient care. CNUH is the biggest
hospital in the southwestern part of South Korea. Current hospital beds are 1,500
beds including Hwasun Hospital. The number of outpatients is 3,000 daily.
International Healthcare Service was set up in 1997 and Dr. Myung Ho Jeong is
in charge of the clinic. Dr. Jeong is a cardiologist, who has fellowships of American
College of Cardiology (FACC), American Heart Association (FAHA), European Society
of Cardiology (FESC) and Society of Cardiac Angiography and Intervention (FSCAI).
In the outpatient clinic and emergency medical center of CNUH, on-call system
is available in all fields of medicine at any time. Almost medical staff members
of the CNUH (current staff members are 312 in 38 departments) are trained in U.S.A.
and have no difficulties in the managements and treatment of foreign patients.
