Since Its Foundation In Pil-Dong, Chung-Gu, Seoul In 1968, Chung-Ang University Medical Center Has Made Great Achievements Writing A New Chapter In The History Of Korean Medical Industry: Kore's First Implementation Of EWCS In 1987; Korea's First Success Of Pelvis Laparoscope Operation In 1989; Korea's First Success Of Laser Laparoscopic Cholecystectomy In 1990 And Passing 4000 Cases Of Pelvis Laparoscope Operation In Obesterics And Gynecology In 1999.

The Medical Center Moved To Heykseok-Dong Near Chung-Ang University In December 2004, Completing And Advanced Medical Campus With 562 Beds Moreover, With The Introduction Of State-Of-The Art Equipment Including MRI, CT, LINAC And PET-CT, The Medical Center Has Performed Medical Examination And Treatment Based On Centers Such As Cancer Center, Intervention Center, Knee Joint Center Achieved The Great Second Take-Off Receiving Many Awards.

The Medical Center Was Selected As The Best Hospital In 2005 From The Evaluation Of Medical Organizations Supervised By Ministry Of Health Welfare. In Addition, The Center Was Designated As The Best Hospital In 2007 According To The Evaluation Of Medical Treatment For Cerebrovascular Accident Supervised By Ministry Of Health Welfare And Health Insurance Review & Assessment Service. Chung-Ang University Medical Center Is Planning To Newly Construct A Cancer-Specialized Hospital With 400 Bed A The End Of 2009
