The National Cancer Center (NCC) strives to improve national health and welfare
by reducing the incidence and mortality of cancer through research, patient care,
education & training, and support for the national cancer control programs.
In order to effectively achieve the above goals, NCC currently functions in the
following areas:
- Performing basic and clinical research on cancer;
- Providing medical care services for cancer patients;
- Offering education and training for health professionals and those engaged
in the national cancer control programs;
- Assisting the government in formulating and implementing the national cancer
control program;
- Providing consulting services to other medical institutions specializing
in cancer
